Felling a 9.5 ft (290 cm) Forked Rain Tree | Canopy Pruning | Husqvarna 3120XP, Echo CS 7310SX, Stihl MS 261 Welcome back to the Is_Woko channel. In this video, we document the removal of a massive rain tree (trembesi) with a 290 cm (9.5 ft) trunk circumference. This tall giant featured two massive main co-dominant forks in its upper canopy. To complete this operation safely, our crew deployed three chainsaws: the heavy-duty monster Husqvarna 3120XP, the Echo CS 7310SX, and the agile Stihl MS 261. Here is the operational breakdown: 1. Staged Pruning to Prevent Log Splitting: To protect the main timber from splitting upon impact, we executed a two-stage canopy reduction. The climber ascended into the first main fork to prune its upper branches, traversed across to the second fork to clear its canopy, and systematically lightened both sides. 2. Cutting the Dual Main Stems: With the smaller branches cleared and weight balanced, both large main forks were sectioned down one by one, leaving just the standing main trunk. 3. Final Trunk Felling (290 cm Girth): The final phase was felling the massive 290 cm base log using our heavy-duty power saws to ensure a clean, precise, and safe drop. Watch the raw footage of how our crew handled this multi-stage climb and heavy felling from start to finish. Thank you for watching and supporting our channel! The trees we fell are legally purchased from local farmers for industrial use and are not sourced from protected forests. These premium logs are bound for Jepara, Central Java, where they will be transformed into luxury solid wood furniture, massive live-edge tables, and world-renowned intricate carvings.
