Finding true freedom | 6 months in Surinam

The African slave trade is something that never should have happened. It is terrible what those people had to go through. In 1873 it finally came to an end. But what if you’ve experienced something so brutal like this? What if you’ve experienced something similar to this? Something tragic, something that left you with deep wounds and scars? What if you still walk around with anger and hate because of what someone did to you? Is that walking in freedom? Maybe you are physically free, but in your mind you are still bound. Jesus the Son of God provides true freedom. He heals the broken hearted, He restores us from hurt, disappointments, grief.. He renews our mind and helps us to live again. He makes us totally new! Bible verse: ‘Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.’ ‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ Bible verses mentioned in this video: ‘“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”’ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭ ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’ ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬ ‘For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.’ ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭16‬ ‘Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.’ ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‘He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.’ ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭23‬:‭3‬ ‘Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.’ ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭ #Truefreedom #Slavery #Africanslavery #Historicalplaces #Jesusheals —————————————————————————— Finding true happiness:    • Finding true happiness | Coronie | 6 month...   Playlist 6 months in Surinam 🇸🇷:    • 6 months in Surinam
