https://smahadevan.in/ The song is composed in the joyful, uplifting Raga Mandari and is set to the Khanda Chapu Tala by Sri Harikesanallur Muthiah Bhagavathar. It is an emotional plea dedicated to Lord Muruga (Balasubrahmanya), where the devotee questions how many more lifetimes they must spend wandering aimlessly through the material world before achieving spiritual liberation. Meaning : Having taken this human birth, for how many more days (or how much longer) must I keep wandering and drifting aimlessly in this worldly cycle? O Lord Balasubramanya, the son of Lord Shiva (who wears serpents as ornaments)! You are the purifier of the fallen and the downtrodden. I am wandering solely to catch a glimpse of your divine feet. Without understanding the profound depths and wisdom of the Vedas and Shastras, I have fallen straight into the ocean of materialistic, worldly desires (vishaya vāridhi). I do not even possess the foundational capability or standard means to worship you correctly. Yet, I will forever praise you as the divine resident of Sri Harikesapura. Venue : Darbar Chamber, Ernakulam Date : 9th August 2026 Accompanists : Violin - Thiruvizha Viju S Anand Mridangam - Sajinlal Edappal
