24 Hours in Napa Valley California | Wine Tasting, Food & Things to Do on a Budget

🍷 Planning a trip to Napa Valley, California? Come along as we spend 24 hours in Napa Valley, exploring wine country at different price points and sharing some of the best things to do, places to eat, and wine tasting experiences we found along the way. One of our biggest concerns before visiting Napa Valley was the cost. Napa has a reputation for being an expensive destination, but we quickly discovered that there are ways to experience wine country at a variety of price points. In this Napa Valley travel guide, we'll show you where we chose to save, where we decided to splurge, and some options to help you plan a Napa Valley trip that works for your budget. We start in Downtown Napa at Oxbow Public Market, where we grab oysters at Hog Island Oyster Co. before exploring First Street Napa. Then it's time for our first wine tasting at Housley Napa Valley, a casual and affordable downtown tasting room owned by Adam Housley and Tamera Mowry-Housley. From there, we splurge on the quintessential Napa Valley wine experience at the absolutely beautiful Domaine Carneros, known for its stunning château, sparkling wines, Pinot Noir, and incredible vineyard views. But there's more to Napa Valley than wine tasting! We head back to the Downtown Napa Riverfront, check out the famous Napa Valley Wine Train, and then make our way to Yountville for a wine and food pairing surrounded by art at Jessup Cellars. And you can't visit Yountville without at least taking a peek at The French Laundry, Thomas Keller's legendary three-Michelin-star restaurant. Dinner there wasn't exactly in our budget 😂, so we finish our Napa Valley adventure with something a little more our speed — pizza at Foodshed Take Away.
