Landscape Photography and Mountain Biking - Could it Work?

As a once keen mountain biker, I was looking for a way to cover more ground searching for compositions around where I live - Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. So I decided to get my rather old mountain bike out of mothballs and see whether scouting from the saddle will not only let me see more but actually let me find pleasing compositions and not fall off in the process.
