The Boeing B737MAX8 is the only narrow body aircraft that Singapore Airlines has in its fleet. Initially SIA had no plans of inducting the Boeing B737MAX8. They became part of the mainline fleet only when Silk Air merged with Singapore Airlines. In fact the Boeing B737MAX8 we flew was the second ever B737MAX8 to join the Silk Air fleet.
