We’ve reached the final episode of our summer series!
After exploring the origins of watchlist screening in Episode 1 and the industrialisation of screening in Episode 2, we now arrive at 𝗘𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝟯: 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟰-𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆).
Narrated as ever by Pascal Aerens, Co-Founder & CPO at Neterium, this episode explores how screening is evolving in a world where sanctions change daily, payments happen in seconds, and financial crime networks constantly adapt.
👉 The Russia-Ukraine war became a major stress test for the industry, with thousands of new sanctions introduced at unprecedented speed. It showed that screening systems need to react to regulatory and geopolitical change almost immediately.
👉 But modern screening is no longer just about matching names. Understanding ownership, control, relationships and transactional networks has become essential to identifying indirect sanctions exposure.
👉 At the same time, AI & machine learning are opening new possibilities: helping reduce false positives, analyse complex data and support investigators with better intelligence, while keeping human judgement, explainability and accountability at the centre.
🚀 This is the transformation that inspired Neterium: building screening technology for a real-time, constantly changing world.
🎯 The lesson from this evolution is simple: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀.
🙏 Thank you for joining us throughout this summer journey.
