Barefoot 14ers: Sunlight, Windom, Eolus Group

What's it like to climb the most remote Colorado 14ers barefoot? Ride the Durango train, hike 6 miles to camp in Chicago Basin, then hike up all four 14ers (Sunlight, Windom, North Eolus and Mt. Eolus). See what it's like to jump Sunlight Peak's Leap of Faith and tread Mt. Eolus's infamous Catwalk. Being in the shade until the very top of Sunlight Peak made my feet frozen and numb, adding even more challenge to the adventure. I was skeptical about doing the Leap of Faith without being able to feel my feet, because in that no-fall zone, you can't undershoot or overshoot that landing. The Catwalk has a few hairy spots but overall is easier than it looks. I guess you can decide for yourself... Enjoy!
