The FORGOTTEN Real Madrid signing from the Galácticos era: Thomas Gravesen

At the tail end of Real Madrid's Galácticos era, one signing stood out as particularly unexpected and insane: that of Thomas Gravesen. The Danish midfielder's arrival at the Santiago Bernabéu in 2005 left many scratching their heads, as he seemed to be a far cry from the glamorous superstars typically associated with the Galácticos. However, Gravesen quickly proved his worth with his tenacity, work rate, and no-nonsense approach to the game, something that Real Madrid was lacking in their midfield. Prior to his arrival, he was a well-respected midfielder for Everton, but had a reputation of being a bit of a wild man. From shooting fireworks at his teammates, to fighting Robinho, knocking Ronaldo’s tooth out, trading in supercars for a Nissan Micra, and more. Gravesen’s retirement was also quite unorthodox, as he moved to Las Vegas, played at high roller poker tables, invested his money smartly, and finally moved back to Denmark. Want more from Rabona TV?
