Preparing Young Adults for the Future | OCYC Collective Impact Workshop

How do we prepare young people to thrive in a world that's constantly changing? On September 16, 2026, the Overtown Children & Youth Coalition (OCYC) welcomed Eric Shepherd, Founder and Executive Director of the Foundation for Talent Transformation, for an engaging Collective Impact Workshop focused on preparing young adults for an evolving world. From learning and unlearning to building essential skills, meaningful networks, and lasting relationships, the conversation explored what young people need to navigate the future with confidence. Community leaders, youth advocates, and organizational partners shared an important reminder: technology will continue to evolve, but people make the difference. Through collaboration, mentorship, and shared purpose, we're strengthening the support systems that help Overtown's next generation thrive. We Are Rooted in Overtown. 🧡
