ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that the Margalla Road extension project and Sangjani Interchange will provide an alternative route for people travelling to and from Islamabad.
Speaking to the media during a visit to the projects, Naqvi said Margalla Road was being connected to the motorway, which would improve access to the federal capital.
He said the project would make it easier for people travelling from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to reach Islamabad. It would also facilitate commuters heading to Islamabad International Airport, as well as those travelling from the city's relevant sectors and GT Road.
The interior minister said special attention was being given to tree plantation and environmental protection during the construction work. Thousands of new trees were being planted, while green areas were also being improved as part of the project.
