The Plan Changed Once We Started Digging | Septic & Drainage Job

What happens when the scope changes after you’ve already started the job? We’re back on a ranch near Hico, Texas, working through a project that includes septic installation, gutter drainage, surface-water drainage, electrical conduit and an outdoor-kitchen drain — all running through a tight area. In this video, I walk through how we’re laying everything out, what changed from the original plan, and why sequencing matters when you’re dealing with multiple underground lines. We started with a plan, but then additional stadium-light electrical was added, we had to account for the outdoor-kitchen drain, and we had to determine the best way to cross the septic and drainage lines while maintaining proper fall. Instead of simply digging and figuring it out as we go, we’re working through elevations, pipe locations, drainage fall, septic fall, cleanouts and the order everything needs to be installed and buried.
