2 Days in Karangasem | Amed, Lempuyang & Tirta Gangga

After climbing Mount Agung overnight, I rode east towards Amed on very little sleep. Amed is a stretch of coastal villages rather than one single beach. I stopped by the water for sunset, then started the next morning with coffee before moving to the beachfront for lunch. After checking into Villa Taman Padi, I went down to Jemeluk Beach. The shore is dark volcanic sand and pebbles, and the bay is known for snorkeling straight from the beach. I stayed on the shore and later watched the sunset over Jemeluk Bay from Blue Earth Village. The next morning I left the coast for Pura Penataran Agung Lempuyang. The road was steep and winding, but the views made the ride worthwhile. I explored the temple while the queue moved, tried some local fruit, and saw how the famous gate reflection is made with a mirror. After coffee with Mount Agung in view, I continued to Tirta Gangga, the former water palace begun by the last king of Karangasem in 1946. Natural spring water still feeds its pools and fountains. This was my last stop in Karangasem before heading south to Candidasa. A no-talking travel vlog told through the journey and on-screen narration.
