What would happen if Greenland's ice melted? The world's oceans would rise about 7.4 meters (24 feet) on average, enough to redraw the coasts of Florida, the Netherlands and Bangladesh. But the sea wouldn't rise the same everywhere: along Greenland's own coast it would actually fall, because of gravity and the land rebounding.
