NYCC 2026: Across the Arrowverse | Flash Reunion | Grant Gustin, John Wesley Shipp & Cast

NYCC 2026 reunites Grant Gustin, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes and John Wesley Shipp for Across the Arrowverse, a New York Comic Con celebration of The Flash, the Arrowverse, its crossover events, alternate Earths and nearly a decade of DC television. Recorded live at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, the panel features Grant Gustin (Barry Allen / The Flash), Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow / Killer Frost / Khione), Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon / Vibe) and John Wesley Shipp (Henry Allen / Jay Garrick / The Flash). The cast looks back at the earliest days of The Flash, the original pilot, Grant Gustin moving to Vancouver before knowing whether the show would succeed, and the demanding schedule behind a series that ran for nine seasons. They also revisit the Arrowverse crossovers that connected The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and the larger CW DC universe. Grant discusses working with Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen / Green Arrow, the different tones of Arrow and The Flash, early crossovers, Elseworlds and the Batman running gag. Danielle Panabaker talks about directing The Flash beginning in Season 5 and about playing Caitlin Snow, Killer Frost and Khione, including the challenge of filming scenes opposite herself. John Wesley Shipp reflects on more than three decades of Flash history, from starring as Barry Allen in The Flash 1990 to returning as Henry Allen, Jay Garrick and another version of The Flash. He also shares stories about the original 1990 Flash suit and reuniting with Mark Hamill as the Trickster. The fan Q&A covers the Flash / Supergirl musical crossover “Duet” with Melissa Benoist, Grant Gustin’s Broadway career, Carlos Valdes and musical theater, possible roles in James Gunn’s DC Universe, Grant’s original Barry Allen audition, the Speed Force and time travel, Ralph Dibny and Hartley Sawyer, favorite guest stars, Reverse-Flash, Zoom and the cast’s favorite seasons. Other names and characters discussed include Brandon Routh as Superman, Tom Felton, Wentworth Miller, Hawkgirl, Vandal Savage, Legends of Tomorrow and the Man in the Iron Mask.
