We spent a day in Parke County, Indiana, the “Covered Bridge Capital of the World,” during the 2026 Covered Bridge Festival. We visited five covered bridges and the festival in Rockville, including the brand-new Depot Bridge, which opened just days before the festival as the county’s 32nd covered bridge. Most of the footage was shot by drone. It covers 150 years of bridge building, from Bridgeton’s 1868 design (rebuilt in 2006) to a bridge finished this October. 📍 Bridges in this video: Catlin Covered Bridge (1907): moved to the Rockville golf course in 1961 Depot Bridge (2026): pedestrian bridge and the trailhead for the new Rockville–Rosedale trail McAllister Covered Bridge (1914): built by J.A.
