Session 10 - What Program Coordinators Want Applicants to Understand (10/27/2026)

Program coordinators play one of the most influential — and least understood — roles in residency recruitment. In this candid panel discussion, former residency program coordinators share behind-the-scenes insight into how recruitment seasons actually function, how applicant communication and professionalism influence perception, and what applicants frequently misunderstand about program workflows. The session also helps humanize the people and systems supporting residency recruitment behind the scenes. The Pathway to Residency is a year-long experience guiding future physicians from residency application to intern year.
