In 1933, about 160,000 Jewish people lived in Berlin. Twelve years later, most of them were gone — forced to flee, or murdered. This episode is different: there's no score, and nothing in it is a joke. It's the true story of one girl who lived through it.
Her name was Inge Deutschkron. In 1933 she was ten years old, growing up in Berlin, when her life began to change one rule at a time: a boycott, a lost job, a yellow star, a deportation train. This video follows what actually happened to her and her family, including the ordinary people who risked their lives to hide her.
