Why Every Serious FPV Pilot Needs a 3D Printer | TPU Tips, Settings & Lessons Learned

If you’re serious about building, flying, and repairing FPV drones, I think a 3D printer is one of the most useful tools you can have. After about five months of printing parts for my FPV builds, I’ve learned a lot, usually by screwing something up first. In this video I go through how I’m using my Bambu Lab P1S for FPV, including the differences between 85A, 95A and 98A TPU, how I decide which hardness to use, filament and color differences, my switch from a 0.4mm to 0.6mm nozzle, and the print settings that have made the biggest difference for strong, usable FPV parts. I also show some of the failures along the way, weak parts, tearing TPU, stringing, support problems, clogs and prints that just completely went to hell, along with what I changed to fix them. This isn’t meant to be a universal TPU profile. Different printers, filament brands, colors, hardnesses and part geometry can all behave differently. These are the strategies and settings that have been working for me and the lessons I’ve learned through a lot of trial and error.
