We Didn’t Know What to Expect in Bratislava 🇸🇰 | Viking River Cruise Excursion

We honestly knew very little about Bratislava—or Slovakia—before our Viking river cruise, which made this optional excursion from Vienna one of the surprises of our trip. 🇸🇰 Our ship was docked in Vienna, and we traveled about an hour by bus to Bratislava. We started at Bratislava Castle before heading into Old Town, where our guide introduced us to the city's history, St. Martin's Cathedral, cobblestone streets, quirky statues like Čumil, and more. After a light lunch and beer, we had about two hours of free time to explore Old Town on our own. Altogether, the optional paid Viking excursion lasted about six hours, including approximately one hour of travel each way. In this video, we'll show you what the excursion was actually like and whether we thought adding Bratislava to our Viking itinerary was worth it.
