Designed by noted architect, Frederick Marsh, this 17 room Georgian Revival style home built in 1904 received the name “Colonial Hall” courtesy of its original residents, the doctors Alanson and Flora Aldrich. The home served a dual purpose for the physicians; both used it to house their separate offices that occupied the north side on the main floor. The patients used a separate entrance. Dr. Alanson Aldrich specialized in Ophthalmology and earned an international reputation as an innovator in his field. This Anoka County National Registry of Historic Places video was produced by students from Hennepin Technical College Video Production Program in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Produced by Anoka County Historical Society, Rebecca Ebnet-Mavencamp, Executive Director, Audra Hilse, Archivist and Sara Given, Coordinator and Directed by Jacob Youngquist
