When you trace the coastline of the Adriatic, no two borders feel the same. This journey took us through Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, and Albania—a route where every single turn brought a shift in culture, architecture, landscape, and flavor. While these nations share a classic European soul, their individual identities couldn't be more distinct. From the floating alleys of Venice to the tranquil emerald waters of Lake Bled nestled in the Julian Alps down the rugged Dalmatian Coast to the terracotta roofs of Dubrovnik ... weaving through the towering fjords of the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro ... and landing in the lively, colourful streets of Tirana, Albania . It was a whirlwind of sensory highlights: ☕ The Flavours: Savouring fresh coastal seafood one day, traditional mountain pastries the next, and rich espresso tucked inside centuries-old stone piazzas. 🏔️ The Landscapes: Dazzling blue seas backed by sheer limestone cliffs, quiet alpine castles, and dramatic mountain passes. 🏛️ The Heritage: Walking through centuries of overlapping Roman, Venetian, Slavic, and Ottoman history woven right into everyday life.
