A Beautiful Blackfoot Wedding in the Storm: Crystal and JR’s Countryside Barn Highlight Film

Crystal Fox (Iitoomestayaiikii) and JR Fox (Iikksskannotaamiikaanaasooyii) celebrated a wedding day unlike any other. What began as an outdoor ceremony at Countryside Barn quickly turned into one of the wildest weather days we experienced this year. High winds and heavy rain swept through the prairies, destroying the outdoor event tents and pushing everyone indoors. In true resilient fashion, Crystal, JR, and their families embraced the moment, filling the barn with warmth, love, and connection. The day began with getting ready at the Sandman Signature Hotel in Lethbridge before the wedding party hopped on a California Dream Limousine party bus. Despite the storm, the guys still rode their motorcycles to the venue in the rain and trailered them home at the end of the night. Traditional Blackfoot smudging took place, Pendleton blankets were gifted, and everyone came together to create a meaningful celebration. We shared a beautiful first look, created heartfelt portraits in the upper level of the barn, crafted creative umbrella shots in the rain, enjoyed incredible food, and finished the night with dancing and a performance from a Las Vegas Elvis impersonator who brought unforgettable energy to the floor. It was an honour to capture their engagement photos and wedding highlights. Crystal and JR are incredibly kind, grounded, and deeply loved, and we are grateful to have documented their story from start to finish.
