Beginners Pedal Steel to "Big City"

Beginners instructional video of how to play pedal steel to this Merle Haggard song. I play steel on this song using mostly just the 2 scales from my video "Easiest way to learn Pedal Steel". You can see how I apply these scales. Then you should use the scales to create your own steel parts to this song that fit your personality and level of play. The end game here is to get you comfortable "jamming" to songs, rather than memorizing everything you play. I explain most licks that are not straight scales. I also include a backing track of this song without steel. The intro to this song is fully explained in one of my previous videos. Gilroy Hollister
