Some moments in history are so strange they sound like someone made them up. But every one of these really happened. Mark Twain was born when Halley's Comet appeared, predicted he'd die when it came back, and did. Two Founding Fathers died on the same day: the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. One man watched the Civil War start on his farm and end in his living room. Abraham Lincoln's son was saved by the brother of the man who killed his father. And in 1838, Edgar Allan Poe wrote about shipwreck survivors eating a cabin boy named Richard Parker. 46 years later, it happened for real. Which one is the weirdest?
