I was bored, so I decided to list a few softlocks. But if you enter the battle without having saved and restarted beforehand, the loop breaks: after defeating Red three times, the fourth battle spawns you inside a wall, causing a softlock. 🔻👻Poltergeist Graphic Corruption👻🔺️ If Poltergeist hits your Pokémon, graphics get glitched. If that Pokémon levels up afterward, the game freezes on the stat-up screen. 🍬🎒Exp-Candy Menu Loop🔄 After giving Exp Candies and learning a move, the menu switches to the Pokémon status screen. Giving a held item there triggers an endless loop between the Pokémon menu and your bag. ⚡Neutralizing Gas Glitch🥚🐦 When facing Zapdos with a Weezing that has Neutralizing Gas, if you switch your Pokémon, Zapdos’ ability triggers but ends up sending a Bad Egg. 🌊Waterfall Animation Crash👾❔ Using HM Waterfall randomly selects one of your six Pokémon for the animation. Sometimes it picks invalid slot data such as a Decamark, which crashes the music and can freeze the game when entering another area. 🚷 NPC Blocking Softlock🧍‍♂️ This specific NPC can move and block your position if you stand in the wrong spot. If you battle them there and save without Fly, you’re permanently stuck. 📭Mailbox Glitch⚠️ If you give a Pokémon a Mail, you can’t remove it afterward... the PC falsely reports the mailbox as full. Since the Mail can’t be taken off, you also can’t remove that Pokémon from your party, leaving you stuck with it. This also enables the Mail Glitch (item duplication) while stuck with five Pokémon.
