Changing the Odds: Middlesbrough

In Middlesbrough, too many young people grow up believing that to get on, they have to get out. Our latest Changing the Odds film follows what happens when a school decides not to accept that on its own. Phil Latham, who leads the cradle-to-career work in Middlesbrough, has brought local employers around the same table to back the students most at risk of leaving school with nowhere to go: through a post-16 course built with industry, and a group of partners who keep showing up.
