What stood out most on a first watch was how authentic the relationships feel. Ben Affleck brings a raw, grounded energy to Chuckie, while Minnie Driver adds emotional weight as Skylar, pushing Will to open up in ways that feel both real and uncomfortable. Stellan Skarsgård also adds tension as a mentor whose goals don’t always align with what Will actually needs. There are so many unforgettable moments—the chalkboard reveal, the bar scene, and especially the “It’s not your fault” sequence, which completely lived up to its reputation and hit hard emotionally.
