INSIDE THE REACTION| FIRST TIME HEARING The Blue Nile - Downtown Lights REACTION With Tim Sommers Wow! What a deep cut we react to in this episode thanks to our insightful friend, musician, and journalist, Tim Sommer. We have been discussing for the first time the music of Taylor Swift and the references on her album The Tortured Poet’s Department .In this episode we discuss the song called, “Guilty as Sin”, and we learn what the “Downtown Lights” and “Blue Nile” reference is about. The Blue Nile is a Scottish band known for their moving and catchy synthesizer melodic sound, and Tim brings us their classic, “The Downtown Lights”. Definitely check out Tim Sommer’s own music, and they’re re-releasing music from his avant-pop band, Hugo Largo, so be sure to click on links below.
