Back on the tench at last — and what a place to do it. Netherwood Lakes is a hidden Cotswolds gem, and after a few previous trips alongside Liam I finally got to target those beautiful Tincas myself, with my wingman Marko on board chasing carp. We set up on the point peg with a sweeping view across the lake, two rods fished side by side in the middle zone to build a feeding spot. The plan came together fast — the feeder was away before I'd even cast the second rod, and the bites barely stopped all day. Final tally: 25 tench and a carp, with the biggest tench going just over 6lb and an 18lb+ carp early on. A morning I won't forget in a hurry.
