Solo Burns Canyon Redemption Run! | 2 Years Later in My FJ Cruiser

Two years ago, I attempted Burns Canyon Road on my Honda XR650L, but a breakdown brought that adventure to an early end. Now I’m back for redemption, this time behind the wheel of my 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser! Join me on a solo overlanding adventure from the Palm Springs area up into the mountains of Big Bear, California! This trail offers incredible desert views, changing landscapes, and some fun off-camber sections that the FJ handled like a champ! Along the way, I put my new Garmin Tread 2 Overland GPS to the test. It’s definitely a cool piece of gear, but I’ve still got some dialing in to do! After completing the trail, I make a much-needed food stop at one of Big Bear’s finest, Tropicali! Nothing like grabbing a bite to eat out of a giant shark’s mouth! 🦈 Finally, I head into the mountains to meet up with my brother and friends for some camping, good company, and another great night outdoors.
