This separation is the beginning of the new creation, and is how God is experienced and how God has chosen to interact with humanity through His Beloved Son Jesus. Just like we see in the account of creation, where through Christ and by the Spirit of God, actual trees and all living things were practically made and can be seen and experienced, so too it is with the new creation, and so too it is with righteousness. A new creation that is not actual or practical is merely a delusion, and righteousness that is not actual and practical is actually a deception. God has not changed in how He creates in that only now His word somehow creates only in the figurative, positional or spiritual sense. And like the dust of the earth did not create itself by thinking it was a man, and declaring itself to be man, or even willing itself into existence, so too we do not think or proclaim or will our way into the new creation, it is only by His Word through His Spirit that we are sons of God and are new creations in Christ. Having entered into Christ's death and burial, and therefore having been made new consecrated creations we then can think and reason according to the truth that has recreated us and how we have been made, but not before this has taken place.
