Born on an overcast day in rural England, "One Eye On Tomorrow" came to life as Venjent and I let nature take over, layering parts one by one without judgement. Inspired by the trip-hop sounds that we bonded over 14 years ago, this song fit perfectly in to my new album 'Ego & Self' - a collection of ponderings about life. The lyrics are a call to carve your own path, outside of standard expectations. Plan for tomorrow, but anchor yourself in today. Because now is the only time we can truly commit to. Forever is now, you know you’re in the right place. When we arrived for the last show of our Oceania Tour to this paradise villa in Uluwatu, I knew it was the right place for this video. Although the song came from rainy roots, its heart is full of light and warmth. A physical reminder that wonder is found from within.
