Bus Hopping Shenzhen➡️Dongguan

Usually for inter-city trips like this trains or direct buses are preferred. However, as the 2 cities have expended to touch shoulders of each other, both have robust intra city bus routes, in this video we explore the viability of taking routine city bus lines, starting from the south side of Shenzhen near Hong Kong, to the north Shenzhen city limit where Dongguan sits. The trip took about 2.5 h, with a travel distance of about 37 km. While time is comparable to that of metros, fare price is higher than metro by 3 RMB, and bus line GK27's dirty window really stripped the vantage of 'looking out of a window' out of the experience, made me doubt the cost effectiveness for spending extra😂, though not much 'extra' money was spent, and taking the bus almost guaranteed a seat was available, unlike metro in busy times. All buses were air conditioned. The 2 RMB fare price is eligible for any non-banknote payment, think contactless ticket card, qr code payment, mobile phone NFC wallet etc. if paying in cash, the official fares of 2.5 RMB and 3 RMB are expected to be tossed into fare box.
