Hidden away in Shropshire are the remains of a former RAF site with a military history stretching back to the Second World War. The site formed part of the wider RAF Tern Hill complex, and the maintenance unit was officially renamed RAF Stoke Heath in March 1942. The surviving WWII command-site remains have included barracks, huts, an ablutions block and an air-raid shelter. Stoke Heath later became home to No. 30 Maintenance Unit, involved in aircraft repair and salvage. By the 1950s the RAF was reducing operations at the site, and Stoke Heath was placed on inactive status in 1959. It finally ceased to be a separate RAF location in the early 1960s. In this episode of Romey’s Paranormal Adventures, we head inside the abandoned remains after dark to see what — if anything — is still there. This wasn't one of our most active paranormal investigations, but there were still moments that made us stop and listen. We heard unexplained footsteps and captured what sounded like disembodied voices on EVP as we explored the deteriorating buildings. We eventually finished the investigation inside one of the site's old shelters/bunkers — surrounded by the remains of a place that once would have been alive with RAF personnel.
