Cycling to Palmyra - not always easy

I‘m on my way to the ancient city of Palmyra. However, for the first time on this trip, my body goes on strike. So, I pitch my tent in the bushes and take it easy for a day. The next morning, I continue onwards towards Homs. What does the city look like today? After Homs, I enter the Syrian desert. A complete change in scenery is refreshening! Night falls, and I need to find a spot to sleep. Where do I end up pitching my tent?
