Got questions about the state questions on Oklahoma's Nov. 3 ballot? We can help. Before you head to the polls, join the Oklahoma Policy Institute for a free, nonpartisan town hall that will explain the statewide ballot measures and answer your questions.
SQ 845 would change the rules for who can serve on Oklahoma’s Judicial Nominating Commission and how its members are selected. SQ 847 would lower Oklahoma’s assessment caps for property taxes. While this wouldn't lower your property taxes, it would limit how much a property’s assessed value can increase each year for tax purposes. OK Policy staff will share straightforward, fact-based explanations of these state questions and what would happen if either question passes.
Democracy works best when people understand their choices and know how to make their voices heard. Before Nov. 3, take the time to learn what’s on your ballot, decide what matters to you, and make your vote count.
