McDonald Observatory Tour

Join mefor a short, behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic McDonald Observatory in Fort Davis, Texas! In this video, I take you inside two of the observatory's most powerful instruments: the massive Hobby-Eberly Telescope (HET)—one of the largest optical telescopes in the world—and the versatile Harlan J. Smith Telescope. Filmed during a tour with the Texas Star Party held in April 2025. Get a rare look at the tech, the domes, and see the scope move. Whether you're a space nerd, telescope fan, or just love exploring remote scientific outposts, this quick tour is for you. Subscribe and Like for more videos! Thanks!
