September 23 2026. This morning during the Morning Rush Hour, GO 5010 off the Richmond Hill Line had experienced a Mechanical Issue at Gormely GO Station. As GO/Metrolinx now obtains their back up Rescue Set being a 3 Car Assignment, they made their way up to the stranded consist and brought it back to the Willowbrook Yard with MP40 630 with issues on the tail end! The whole operation from Breakdown to rescue took a total of 5 Hours to successfully accomplish! The Fortunate outcome is that 5010 is the final Richmond Hill Line Train to Toronto during the Morning Rush Hour so there had been no other GO Trains impacted in the process.
