Quarter Leather Gothic Binding

Quarter Leather Gothic Style Binding Inspired by digital pages from Vectoria Designs (Etsy) I used cherry boards and leather to bind the book in a gothic style. Text block is sewn on double cords then rounded but NOT backed. A muslin spine lining preserves the shape. Primary end bands are sewn and then the text block is laced to prepared boards. Boards have a recess on the spine edge to accept the leather. The spine edge is contoured to the book shape. Holes and channels are created for the cords to pass through.
