COINCIDENCE — THRIX Different names. Same signs. Different centuries. Same symbols. “Coincidence” is Thrix at her heaviest: a collision of industrial metal and darkwave built on abrasive bass pulses, overdriven synths, distorted guitars, feedback, and relentless mechanical force. The song confronts the certainty that what cannot be measured can therefore be dismissed—that science, rather than being a powerful means of understanding the material world, is incorrectly treated as the final authority on everything that exists. Across cultures and thousands of years, humanity has buried its gods, renamed them, rebuilt their images, repeated their numbers, carried forward their symbols, and reenacted patterns whose origins have long been forgotten. The materialist calls it coincidence. Thrix has another explanation. “Coincidence” does not ask for belief. It asks what happens when recurrence stops being treated as meaningless simply because the observer has no framework with which to read it. Same effect. Different source.
