Farewell - ACT Airlines Boeing 747-400F (TC-ACF) landing & takeoff at Frankfurt Airport - On October 20, 2025, a tragic accident occurred at Hong Kong Airport: The Boeing 747-400F (TC-ACF), operated by ACT Airlines on behalf of Emirates (flight number EK9788), skidded off the runway while landing on the northern runway. The aircraft broke through the runway fence and struck a vehicle located outside the fence, causing both aircraft and vehicle to crash into the adjacent sea. Two people were inside the vehicle, both of whom died as a result of the accident. The four crew members on board the aircraft were virtually uninjured and were rescued. The cause of the accident is currently unclear. The authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation.
