A fantastic race up front of a bumper Ipswich crowd on a swelteringly hot day. Wood Oliver and Foxlow pulled out all the stops to reel in Smith from his pole position start. Smith just held on but was disqualified due to an early race indiscretion. A delighted defending champion 333 Lee Wood consequently retained his Gold Roof.
