Choosing Discomfort: Part 01 | Trekking independently till Beas Kund

After having gone on many high altitude treks with various tour operators, I wanted to explore the mountains a bit more independently. So, I came to Manali to start my journey of trekking in alpine style which means doing everything on your own, from carrying your tents to cooking all meals in a day. I tied up with a local guide in Manali, Diya and together we trek till a beautiful alpine lake, Beas Kund.
