What is the velocity of a ball at its highest point?
A ball is thrown vertically upward. At the highest point of its motion:
Velocity = 0 m/s ✅
Acceleration = 9.8 m/s² downward ⬇️
The ball momentarily stops moving upward, but gravity is still acting on it. That’s why its acceleration is NOT zero.
This is a simple but important concept that can easily save you marks in your Physics exam.
Perfect for A Level, AS Level, IGCSE & O Level Physics.
