What I’ve Done - Peter Cullen Tribute

To say Optimus Prime was my childhood hero, would be an understatement. He wasn’t just my first superhero, we was for all intents and purposes, my first role model. Someone who inspired me to be the best version of myself I can be, that there’s always one spark of hope in the darkest times. While my family my certainly had their hand at raising me, I would not be same person I am today if it wasn’t for Optimus Prime in my life. He was such a huge influence that it was to a point that he didn’t even feel like a fictional character anymore, much less a simple action figure I would beg my mother to buy. He felt REAL, thanks in large part to the man himself… Peter Cullen. He had been the voice of Optimus Prime for over 40 years alongside memorable performances such as Ironhide (also from Transfomers), Eeyore, Monterey Jack, The Predator, and Thaedus from Invincible. It was through his vocal talents and strong stamp on the Autobot Leader, that Optimus Prime felt alive. So you could imagine how much of a crushing blow it was to find out he had died just yesterday. It was as if the amount of deaths we had already wasn’t enough, it was now his time to go… but as good friend told me; “Despite the saddening reality that they're gone, the large impact they left on people's lives will never be forgotten. We'll all be in touch even if not physically there.” And that couldn’t be anymore true. And so, I dedicated this little AMV in honor of his passing, it’s not much, but I wanted to get it out as soon as I could and hopefully, you all will enjoy it. The main highlight being some of his most iconic lines. Rest In Peace, Peter Cullen. The voice of that defined a generation.
