5.8GHZ, 1.3GHZ and DJI Digital Comparison (at Lake George)

[Correction: Matek 1.3G VTX puts out around 650mw, not 800mw as I stated.] Lake George has proven to be a high-interference area for video systems in the last few years. I took both 5.8G and 1.3G installations out one day, to see what the difference was at various points as I flew across the lake. Note that I didn't climb above 100m on either flight. And since I've now switched my planes over to digital, I've also included a bit of DJI goggle DVR footage from a few months later. The result at 10km sees 1.3G the winner in terms of RF quality (and on omni antennas to boot!); however, I'm happy to put up with the limitations of digital to have the clarity and detail when flying closer; or in areas with less interference where it's possible to maintain a pretty good link out to the DJI coded limit at around 12.5km.
