Palace of Versailles gardens, France

The Gardens of Versailles are a massive 800-hectare (2,000-acre) masterpiece of classical French formal landscape architecture located just outside Paris, France. Commissioned by King Louis XIV in 1661 and designed by renowned landscape architect André Le Nôtre, taking roughly 40 years to complete.
