ABOUT Dr. SANDHYA PURECHA: Dr. Sandhya Purecha is a renowned Bharatanatyam exponent, scholar, and Chairperson of the Sangeet Natak Akademi, India's National Academy of Music, Dance and Drama. A recipient of numerous national honours, she has dedicated her life to the research, preservation, and propagation of Indian classical dance and Natyashastra. Under her leadership, the Akademi is reaching new heights in supporting and showcasing India's intangible cultural heritage. ABOUT SANGEET NATAK AKADEMI: Established in 1953, Sangeet Natak Akademi is an autonomous organization of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
