Hearing pleas linked to the CJP protest in Delhi, a Supreme Court bench of Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice V Mohana ordered that Metro and rail services run normally, internet services stay undisturbed and people be allowed to move freely in the city. The court directed that the need for barricades be reviewed immediately and that no one be detained except by procedure established by law. It also ordered Section 163 boards around the Supreme Court to be taken down. Lawyers told the court of over 7,000 detentions.
